The 48 Film Festival is in partnership with the folks at TIFF for a Canada-wide film challenge. The top two films from each province and territory will be selected to screen at the TIFF Bell Lightbox in Toronto in Sprint 2023. Also the 18 selected films in Manitoba will premiere at The Gimli Film Festival (GFF) 2022. All participating films will have an online screening shortly after GFF and will be paid artist fees.

Get Your Teams Ready Manitoba!!! On Sunday, May 15, 2022 starting at 12 noon sharp and ending at 2pm. The 48 Film Festival Registration in Manitoba will begin. All Manitoba residents are welcome to enter. As always we will have TWO categories: (1) YOUTH CATEGORY… for individuals ages 14 to 25 and (2) ADULT CATEGORY… for individuals age 26 and up. Due to COVID, WE WILL NOT accept purchases in person. WE WILL NOT accept submissions over the phone. Registration is FIRST COME FIRST SERVE, so if you do not arrive within the time allotted above and we fill up, then you will be put on a waiting list!!! Please be aware that registration will likely fill up fast, so come extra early!
FASCINASIAN SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT
The FascinAsian Martial Arts Choreography Workshop overlaps with The 48 Film Fest’s limited registration period. Please be assured that special arrangements have been made to ensure workshop participants will still have time to register – more info to come soon!

MANITOBA FILMMAKER CAST/CREW MEET N GREET: Our annual Meet N Greet which will be hosted online this year. This will be an opportunity to ask questions and get all the details and rules about the challenge. It’s where you can meet our staff, ACTRA, the Gimli Film Festival team, The City of Winnipeg and any other special guests who will make your experience more seamless. You will also have a chance to have access to COVID materials to help better manage your project during a time of COVID. This is also the event where you can speed-date and discover interested actors, crew and composers.
